But, one thing that turns me off, is the over-crowded destination, because of its peak season. Like, who loves to see a place, where all you can see is just the heads of the people around.
For this reason, I prefer to travel slightly off the season. It is a big Travel Hack, I will tell you how. Travelling in the peak season has its own pros and cons, but according to me, it has more cons than pros.
Coming to the benefits of travelling in the Off Season:
Best Travel Deals
If you want to keep your travel fairly in your budget, yet make the most of the best hotels and stay options, travel in the off season. Off season deals are the ones, which can make you save heaps in your pocket.
For any destination, pick the months that are just after the peak season or right before that. Suppose for Goa, pick the month August or September. You will get great deals, empty beaches, and low airfares too.
Less Crowded Places
With being a travel freak, I also love photography. I like to click the places I have been to. Because, I believe in discovering new places, less or no crowd is what I prefer.
You can’t get good pictures if there are 100s of people around you. So for all the photography enthusiasts, kindly pick the dates that don’t have too many people flocking all over.
Discounts on Hotels
Because you are a frequent traveller, it is not possible to splurge on luxurious Hotel stays, every time you travel. If you have the craving to please yourself with an amazing Hotel and Spa, best is to travel in the off-season.
If you don’t believe me, you can check for a 4 star hotel rate in the off season and peak season. There will be at least a difference of 30%. Plus, they have interesting stay packages that include 2 or 3 meals.
You can book the hotel rooms directly from the Hotel website or do it via online booking websites like Booking.com, Cleartrip.com, etc.
They run lucrative deals almost all round the year. Although, be careful as in some places, in the off-season, most of the good hotels and cafes are shut. For example, in Santorini or Mykonos, in the off-season, you will hardly get any open cafes.
Splurge your Savings on Food
For all the gourmet lovers or foodies, you can splurge on sumptuous food and satiate your taste buds. It will not burn a hole in your pockets.
Look for meal packages or buffet set ups, that will give you more options in a comparatively cheaper rate.
Explore More Destinations in the Same Budget
You can go to the places and explore more in the same amount of money. Travel would be cheaper, transits will be cheaper, and even the stay would not be that costly.
For example, instead of 2 journeys in a year, you can plan 3 or 4. Isn’t that amazing?
Struck with wanderlust?
So am I, with a major wanderlust. This website is dedicated to helping you with exploring the amazing destinations across the world. Moreover, you can have a look at the various travel hacks that will help you travel better.
About the Author (Me)
I would call myself a crazy traveller!
If I have money, I would love to spend it all on NOT clothes, NOT shoes BUT travel. I just love to travel. More than traveling I love to explore.
Just entering a vague jungle and discovering a river is what will give me more happiness than a plush LV bag. It is more of wanderlust for me. Discovering new places, gives me much more high than the already trodden destinations.
If I could ever visit the moon, I would do it and click a hell lot of pictures that will charm me for a lifetime! Apart from travel, I chose photography, writing and driving to indulge myself into. I think life is just too short to explore this beautiful world.
So earn hard and travel harder!
I love sudden plans. I don’t generally plan holidays 1 year before. It is more like, I wake up with a dream destination and that is when I decide the date and collect the funds.
